Gina Fitzsimmons assisted us with the design, decoration, and furniture selection for a 1300 square foot lower level living space in our home located in the Annapolis area waterfront community of Downs on the Severn. The result of her efforts may fairly be described as stunning. She was very easy to work with, listening carefully to our needs and wishes, translating them into designer terms, and making suggestions that contributed mightily to the finished project. Importantly, she worked extremely well with the individual who, a perfectionist in his own right, did the construction work from start to finish. Gina’s eye for space configuration, color detail, furnishings, and artwork was superb. We would not hesitate to work with Gina again, or to recommend her to others. My husband and I bought an arts and crafts cottage that has a round fireplace in the middle of the living room. I tried every way I could think of to decorate this space, but was unhappy with the results. I called Gina, and after she looked over the space, she told me that we needed to add color, and to angle two small sofas to face the fireplace, making it the focal point of the room. Talk about thinking outside of the box! With the creative floor plan, and swatches of material, she demonstrated how very lovely my living area would look. Several months later, everything is in place and the transformation is extraordinary! I highly recommend Gina to everyone who wants to work with a professional and creative interior designer.
