My company, Bruce Mears Designer/Builder in Bethany Beach Delaware is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary. Gina is the first interior designer that I have enjoyed working with. We bonded immediately. Her creative ideas are second to none. Her freehand sketch work is amazing and makes her ideas easy for the homeowner and builder to understand and execute. Her interior paint schedule was the most professional I have seen. Gina’s interior design work took my house design to the next level. I look forward to seeing this house when it is completed and Gina has finished the furnishing. I look forward to working with Gina again and I would highly recommend her to anyone. You won’t be disappointed.
Bruce Mears, Designer/BuilderTestimonials
Having been Gina’s photographer for some years, I have had the pleasure of seeing not only the fabulous designs she has created but also watching the obvious delight and pride her clients demonstrate when we go to to record these homes. A very pleasant, truly professional and gifted designer, Gina is always great to work with. In my early days, Gina taught me how to stage a comprehensive photo shoot – from the big picture down to the tiniest of details that can make such a difference. One of a kind, any prospective client need look no further.
Derek Jones PhotographySome people are born to be athletes, others are born to be scientists. Gina was born to be a designer.
My husband and I worked with Gina on the design, decoration and furnishings of a new home that we built at the beach. A long process, Gina was involved in everything from reviewing the blueprints, to choosing the color palate, working with the kitchen people to help select the color for the cabinets and countertops, working with the electricians on the placement of the lights and light switches and most importantly, pulling together a design plan that was perfect. There was no detail left out.
I was afraid this would be overwhelming, but Gina and her team made us feel comfortable every step of the way, showing patience with us as we made decisions and adjusting plans based on our input. She worked in concert with our builder and subcontractors, all of whom continue to sing her praises to us.
Gina listened. She asked us to describe our dream home, then took our words and made it a reality, doing it flawlessly. But it was Gina’s creativity and other-worldly vision that helped make our home truly spectacular – the unique wall treatments, the comfortable furniture and the colors all fit the home – and us — to a T.
We just wish we had another home just so that we could work with Gina again.
Mary and NeilWhen we bought our waterfront home, we realized that as intimidating as it was, we should probably work with a designer to get it right. Thankfully we hired Gina…her vision and artistic talents transformed our home…and she was wonderful to work with!
Some things that Gina saw on her first 10 minute tour that we would not have seen:
Doubling a doorway would significantly open up both our living space and water view.
Where there was an open kitchen/family room, Gina saw an all in one stunning kitchen/dining experience.
She worked with the existing cabinets and countertops but saw the opportunity for a huge cooking island to facilitate family cooking.
By adding built-in (cook) bookshelves around the fireplace the room became a statement.
By raising two bedroom ceilings she created a more spacious feeling.
By moving a small laundry room wall, the powder room became a real bathroom.
Gina had the insights, the flair for design, and the experience to smoothly guide us through our first designer experience. While we were expecting advice on bathroom renovations, furnishings and window treatments, she delivered so much more. Right down to paint colors and furniture styles, Gina got it perfect. She listened to our preferences and then opened our eyes and guided us to attaining beautiful and comfortable living spaces in every room. Another plus: she seemed to be enjoying every minute of working on our project!
